I didn’t need another reason to want to return to the very picturesque Croatian city of Dubrovnik, but member Secret Dalmatia has just given me one with a post on the new Dubrovnik cable car attraction.
Apparently, a cable car existed in Dubrovnik for many years but was destroyed during the most recent conflict. Finally, in 2010, a new version of the cable car was opened (sadly, after my visit to this gorgeous city) and has quickly become a popular tourist attraction.

The cable car ride will take you from the top of the northern walls of the city up to the top of the hill at a spot called Srdj. The views both on the way and from the (windy) viewing platform are spectacular, looking over the well-preserved and repaired Old Town, the walls, and the sea.
Dubrovnik is a highlight, but you can also check out other things to do in Dalmatia on your Croatian visit.
