The custom seems to be for grandparents to bring pressies to the little ones (well, what’s new?). But, for Easter at least, the choice of gift seems to be between chocolate cake or palm frond designs. (Jolly good, now, I’d like to meet the kid that went for the palm fonds!)
In any case, if like me you’re a chocaholic, in addition to the regular fun that’s to be had by including Spain in that Easter Europe trip, you also get to choose from all the chocolate cakes decorating the patisseries. Surely, even in the absence of grandchildren, one can still be tempted to make a purchase – I want the one above please!
