For those who enjoy train travel in Europe, Cascais is a rail trip from Lisbon’s Cais do Sodre station. It’s is also a place much visited and enjoyed by the capital’s residents, which puts it in league with places locals would recommend, usually considered as “hidden gems”.
The authors really enjoyed visits to the quaint town square, local eateries, bar/cafeterias, the fantastic beach and interesting marina. Sounds like a great day trip for travellers planning to be in Lisbon!
