The Europe a la Carte blog points out that the holiday island of Ibiza is for heritage and hiking and not just for happy hour (holiday, heritage, hiking, happy, Ibiza = 4 H Island).

The photos above tell the tale: this holiday island has loads to offer in terms of heritage and hiking. As for the happy hour, it needs little advertising and we will not be adding to what Ibiza is best known for, at least in the UK.
So, even if your mates/family members just like the sun and sangria culture, be assured that there’s plenty more to do, with an abundance of heritage and hiking paths just waiting to be discovered. There are also watersports, shopping and sightseeing while sipping a coffee with great views. All in all making Ibiza a very versatile holiday island with loads on offer.
For those interested in shorter breaks, Ibiza is just but one of the 100+ cheap weekend holiday ideas for Brits.

There are lots of interesting autonomous areas which have their own individual character and dialects of Spanish.
