Blogging partner Amateur Traveler talk to Edith about the Tyrol, the mountainous location where she grew up. The article includes a podcast.

Edith designs year-round itineraries involving skiing, hiking and visiting places such as the palace at Innsbruck (the capital of Tyrol) and Höfemuseum, a hiking museum. In the podcast she also talks about traditional foods (such as Wiener Schnitzel) and wonderful ways to burn off those calories!
The Tyrol región initially belonged to the Holy Roman empire, then the Austrian and Austria-Hungarian empires and eventually part of it reverted to Austria. With mountains reaching between 3.7 and 3.9km in height, the Tyrol is both a wonderful region to visit anytime of the year and a dangerous one. It therefore pays to have a local expert take you around whether you’re experienced or not, in order to make the most of your limited time there.
In any case, if you’re not too fond of either skiing or walking the Tyrol, you can always swap your life with an Austrian dairy maid!
