Tastings, by billaday
An example of a well-established large Scottish distillery is Tallisker on the Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands. By contrast, the tiny Black Isle Brewery, which is just a 15-20 min drive north of Inverness (also in the Highlands) along one of the most scenic and dramatic routes over the Moray Firth, brews a variety of ales such as blonde, porter, wheat, bitter, and seasonal beers using organic ingredients only and doing all the work by hand!
The manager was most happy to show the visitors around, even though they had just turned up, and was also very good with the children who got all their questions answered! There seems to be no problem selling the brew either, with a newer distillery being built to meet the demand for this organic delight!
Micro-breweries are all the rage just now and another great place to taste unique beer is Cumbria in England. Also, do use caution when sampling the produce of the vengeful beer-brewing monks of Prague!
