Partners Experience Tuscany describe the possibilities for good value pre-Dec.25th accommodation in the region.This is certainly an article after my own heart, considering the shortening days and all the other other seasonal mood downers (yes, I do mean the wall to wall Christmas advertising!). A short budget holiday this time of year is something I strongly endorse, and I am infact looking for some tips towards mine!

The low Tuscan season starts at the beginning of November and, with the exception of Christmas (considered high to medium), runs up to Easter. Accommodation is therefore at bargain prices just now, as are flights, not to mention the uncrowded airports and Tuscan towns!
Although there are many different types of sensibly priced accommodation to be had, the article points out two completely different types. One is at an authentic medieval Tuscan castle, while at the other end is a recently restored farmhouse in the heart of Chianti between Siena, Florence and Arezzo. Both offer a variety of types of accommodation at low season prices.
When you get there you could also visit the odd haunted castle, where for those with unusual tastes accommodation may also be at budget prices!
