Turin’s famous for Renaissance architecture, and the Cathedral, dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, is as representative as they come! Turin was previously considered the Hollywood of Italy, and a visit to the National Cinema museum will be most enlightening!

For lovers of contemporary art, the ‘Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art) (GAM) and Castello di Rivoli (Rivoli Castle) are must-visits. These should be followed by a well-deserved coffee break at the Caffe’ Baratti e Milano, Al Bicerin or Florio, to mention but only three of Turin’s historic and cultural coffee shops dating from the 1700s.

These are only a few of the article’s suggestions on Turin, and other ideas include a museum on Egyptology, religious loci and even palaces!

The article also suggests a type of pass for entry to a variety of attractions, and even an itinerary for chocaholics!

So, if you find yourself in Turin, make sure you allow sufficient time for visiting these tourist gems!
