After recently questioning, “Whether Sardinia needs a Gordon Ramsay restaurant?”, Ramsay makes another strike in Italy, this time in Tuscany at the Castel Monastero, near Siena.

Gordon Ramsay by David Pullig
Now this is not a personal tirade against Gordon Ramsay, more an outpouring of incredulity that two luxury establishments in Italy think that association with the mouthy British chef is a way to satisfy and attract customers.
What do you think? Would you be attracted to a luxury hotel in Italy because it sported a Gordon Ramsay restaurant?

It would certainly out these two places on the map for me! I don’t know anything about Italy, but just seeing the story made me aware that when I go to Italy, I have to go and see that amazing castle near Tuscany – the fact that I get to sample Gordon ramsay’s amazing food would just be the icing on the cake. Befor today, I wouldn;t have known that place existed. Plenty of links to their web page and hits from news sites just by the association with Chef Ramsay!

Chief Plonker – Thanks for your comment, Wouldn’t you rather sample some authentic Italian cuisine on your first visit to Italy? There are loads of other Castles you can visit.
