Preveli Beach is close to the town of Plakias, on the southern coast of the Greek Island of Crete. The Beach is at the foot of Preveli Monastry. A river flows into the sea at one end of the palm fringed Beach.

The transport options to reach Prevelli Beach are taxi boat along the scenic coast or local bus, which involves a descent and ascent either by 500 stone steps or a riverside path from the bus stop to and from the beach.
Although the sea is very alluring, it’s refreshingly verdant by the riverside and there are great views up to the mountains.
