The town of Kas lies on the southern coast of Turkey. Although there has been a fair bit of tourism development, Kas still retains some charm. The beaches in Kas are pebbly so the sandy Patara beach is a better bet.

Kas is close to several archaeological sites such as Aperlai and Kekova. If you fancy a cross border day trip, the Greek island of Kastelorizo is jsut over a mile out to sea.
