The Ile St Louis is a natural island in the River Seine connected by bridges to the city. It still has a villagey feel, despite being close to major attractions such as Notre Dame Cathedral. The island has many restaurants and boutique shops.
So if you’re looking for a location in Paris that’s both central yet something of a retreat from the urban hustle and bustle, you should check out Ile St Louis.
