Although Gary acknowledges that Venice was totally tourist orientated, he was still enchanted by the city.
He also visited the tiny republic of San Marino, in the Appenine Mountains, sandwiched between the Italian regions of Le Marche and Emilia Romanga.
Gary has become aware of the paradox of travel blogging, in that if you’re travelling and spending time exploring you’re not blogging and if you’re blogging you don’t really have time to travel.
