Zagreb, the capital of Croatia now offers free public transport to all users. The initiative was introduced to reduce congestion in the city in the hope that locals abandon their cars for city trips. However it’s a useful bonus to visitors.
I wonder if the local transport network of buses and trams will be able to cope with the additional passengers or if a journey on a crowded bus or tram in Zagreb will have locals running back to the comfort and personal space of their own car?
