It’s easy to forget that there are many film festivals in Europe beyond the massively hyped festivals such as Cannes. The 44th Karlovy Vary Film Festival runs from 3 – 11 July 2009 in the Czech Republic.

More than 220 films will be screened at this year’s Karlovy Vary Film Festival. You can purchase a festival pass for only 1000 CZK, around £32 sterling or 37 euro. Although I do wonder how easy it’ll be to find reasonably priced accommodation in the area during the festival?
